Introducing Home + Yard Protection

Posted by Mosquito Squad Plus

October 7, 2026

Living in Wyoming means pest season doesn't always fit neatly into one category.

Mosquitoes may be the biggest problem in June and July. By late summer, flies and crawling insects become more noticeable. Then fall brings boxelder bugs, spiders and other pests looking for a way inside.

That's why we're introducing Home + Yard Protection, a more complete way to protect your property throughout the pest season.

Instead of signing up for separate services every time a different pest shows up, Home + Yard Protection follows the seasons and adjusts with them.

Two Ways to Protect Your Home + Yard

Seasonal Home + Yard Protection

Starting at $139/month during the April–October service season.

This program is designed for customers who want more than mosquito control, without committing to year-round rodent service.

Your protection begins in the spring and continues through the fall, transitioning with seasonal pest pressure.

Year-Round Home + Yard + Rodent Protection

Starting at $109/month year-round.

Get everything included in our Seasonal Home + Yard program, plus professionally maintained exterior rodent stations and continued rodent monitoring throughout the winter.

Because this is a year-round program, the annual cost is divided into 12 predictable monthly payments.

The Right Protection at the Right Time

Home + Yard isn't about applying pesticides just because another month has passed.

It's about matching your service to what's actually happening around your property.

Spring structural pests. Mosquitoes during peak season. Flies and crawling insects as summer changes. Fall invaders as temperatures drop. And, for customers who choose Year-Round Protection, continued rodent monitoring throughout the winter.

Seasonal Home + Yard Protection starts at $139/month during the April–October service season.

Year-Round Home + Yard + Rodent Protection starts at $109/month year-round.

Frequently Asked Questions

What might my Seasonal Home + Yard schedule look like?

Your exact schedule may vary based on weather, pest pressure and your property's needs, but a typical season may look something like this:

April: Spring structural pest protection

Early May: Yard treatment

Late May: Yard treatment

Mid June: Yard treatment + Summer Structural Protection

Early July: Yard treatment

Late July: Yard treatment

Mid August: Yard treatment with the focus beginning to transition toward flies and crawling insects

September: Yard treatment + Fall Structural Protection

October: Fall invader protection/follow-up as seasonal conditions require

During the heart of mosquito season, yard treatments are generally scheduled approximately every 21 days. As seasonal pest pressure changes, the focus of those treatments changes too.

Treatment timing may shift based on weather, pest activity and seasonal conditions.

How is the Year-Round Home + Yard + Rodent schedule different?

Year-Round customers receive the seasonal Home + Yard services plus ongoing exterior rodent protection.

During the active pest season, rodent stations are inspected and replenished alongside scheduled services whenever possible.

During the winter, rodent monitoring continues with monthly checks and bait replenishment as needed.

That means your pest protection doesn't end when insect season does.

What pests are covered?

Home + Yard Protection is designed around the common nuisance pests we regularly encounter around Wyoming homes, including:

  • Mosquitoes
  • Seasonal exterior flies
  • Common nuisance ants
  • Spiders
  • Boxelder bugs
  • Earwigs
  • Crickets
  • Millipedes
  • Centipedes
  • Pillbugs and sowbugs
  • Other common seasonal and occasional invaders

Coverage varies based on the pest, location and conditions of the property.

What does structural pest protection mean?

Structural treatments focus on the exterior of your home, particularly the foundation, entry points and other areas where covered pests commonly travel or attempt to enter.

Depending on the season, we're looking for and targeting pests such as nuisance ants, spiders, boxelder bugs, earwigs and other crawling or occasional-invader pests.

Our approach is exterior-first, helping reduce pest activity before it becomes an indoor problem.

Are ants covered?

Common nuisance ants around the exterior perimeter, foundation and normal entry areas of the home are covered.

Large lawn-wide ant infestations may require a separate treatment because treating an entire property is different from controlling nuisance ants around the structure.

Specialty ant problems, including carpenter ants and pharaoh ants, are evaluated and priced separately.

Are spiders covered?

Yes. Common spiders around the exterior of the home are included.

Treatments focus on appropriate areas where spiders and the insects they feed on commonly gather, including around the foundation, entry areas and other exterior harborage sites.

Are boxelder bugs covered?

Yes. Boxelder bugs are one of the primary pests we focus on as we transition into fall.

Fall treatments are designed to reduce activity around the structure as these pests begin looking for protected areas to overwinter.

Are flies covered?

Late-summer yard treatments can target adult fly activity in treated exterior areas.

Fly pressure can be heavily influenced by livestock, animal waste, garbage, organic material and neighboring properties, so outdoor treatment cannot guarantee complete elimination.

Indoor fly infestations or active breeding sources may require a separate inspection and treatment plan.

Are wasps, hornets or yellowjackets covered?

No. Wasps, hornets, yellowjackets and stinging-insect nests are not included in Home + Yard Protection.

Separate treatment options are available when an identifiable nest or infestation needs to be addressed.

What happens if I find a covered pest after my treatment?

Seasonal Home + Yard treatments include up to 30 days of callback coverage following your most recent qualifying treatment.

If you're experiencing continued activity from a covered pest during that period, contact us and we'll determine whether a follow-up service is appropriate.

Seasonal coverage ends 30 days after your final qualifying treatment of the season.

Year-Round Home + Yard + Rodent customers maintain active membership throughout the year and receive the additional callback benefits included with their year-round plan.

Does Seasonal Home + Yard include winter service?

No, and that's intentional.

Seasonal Home + Yard is designed around the months when the insects covered by the program are active in our area. Billing and regularly scheduled service run during the April–October pest season.

After the season ends, you aren't paying monthly for scheduled services we're not performing.

Customers who want continued service through the winter can choose our Year-Round Home + Yard + Rodent Protection program.

What does Rodent Protection include?

Our Year-Round program includes professionally maintained exterior rodent bait stations placed around the property as appropriate.

We monitor the stations, evaluate rodent activity and replenish bait as needed throughout the year.

Rodent stations remain the property of Mosquito Squad and should not be moved, opened or tampered with by the homeowner.

Does rodent protection include mice already inside my house?

The standard program is designed around exterior rodent prevention and population management.

If rodents are already established inside the home, additional trapping, interior baiting, exclusion work or repairs may be recommended and quoted separately.

We'll also identify obvious potential entry points and make recommendations when appropriate.

What pests aren't included?

Home + Yard is designed for common seasonal household pests rather than every pest problem that can occur on a property.

Specialty services and excluded pests include wasps, hornets, yellowjackets, honey bees, carpenter bees, termites, bed bugs, fleas, German cockroaches, carpenter ants, pharaoh ants, wildlife, birds, stored-product pests, wood-boring beetles and large lawn-wide ant infestations.

If you're not sure whether something is covered, send us a photo or give us a call. We'll let you know whether it falls under your plan or requires a separate treatment.

What is Platinum Mosquito Protection?

Properties with especially heavy mosquito pressure can upgrade to Platinum Protection.

Platinum increases treatment frequency during the heart of mosquito season, generally providing service approximately every 14 days from mid-May through August, followed by approximately 21-day service through the end of September.

Ask us whether Platinum makes sense for your property.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No. There is no long-term contract.

Seasonal Home + Yard customers are billed during the active service season rather than throughout the winter.

Year-Round Home + Yard + Rodent customers are billed monthly throughout the year because rodent monitoring and service continue during the winter months.

Additional terms regarding cancellation, equipment and services already performed are provided at enrollment.

What if I only want mosquito treatments?

That's completely fine.

Our traditional Mosquito Barrier Service is still available for customers who primarily want mosquito control without broader Home + Yard protection.

Treatments are generally scheduled approximately every three weeks during mosquito season, and you pay per treatment.

Home + Yard simply gives you another option when you want broader seasonal protection around your property.
