Why am I finding ticks on my kids after playing outside?
Children pick up ticks by brushing against low vegetation, leaf litter, and ground cover in shaded parts of the yard. These are all the same areas where ticks wait at knee height or below for a host to pass.
Why do I keep finding ticks on my dog even after treatment?
Most veterinary tick treatments don't repel ticks. They control them after the tick attaches and begins feeding. So finding ticks on a treated dog is normal and doesn't mean the product isn't working.
