Mosquitoes are one of the slowest flying insects. The average mosquito’s top speed is around 1 to 1.5 miles per hour (mph). In comparison, horseflies can fly up to 90 mph!
Mosquitoes are small, flying insects known for their relentless bites and unfortunate role as disease vectors.
Female mosquitoes bite humans and animals to obtain the necessary proteins for egg development. Male mosquitoes don’t bite and instead feed on plant nectar. When a female mosquito bites, she pierces the skin with her proboscis and injects saliva into her victim to prevent blood clotting. This is what causes the itching and swelling around a mosquito bite.
Mosquitoes are notorious for transmitting serious diseases, including malaria, dengue fever, Zika virus, and West Nile virus. These diseases can lead to severe health complications, including encephalitis, meningitis, and microcephaly. West Nile virus is the most reported mosquito-borne disease in the United States.

"Good company."
"I had reached out to the mosquito squad that they had taken down their fly traps too early. They worked well all summer but we got some warm fall weather and they were still out, so they came back out to put out the fly traps too early get through the extra warm days we got where they were still thriving"
"I’ve been using this company for mosquito and tick control for 3 years. Very happy with the service and the employees are very polite and knowledgeable. I will continue to use Mosquito Squad in the future."

"We have used Mosquito Squad for our tree farm & residence & barn for years now, and are very grateful for their reliable & effective service! We highly recommend them for very large properties and/or businesses!"
"Mosquito Squad services have been quite the blessing for us here in the Northwoods of Minnesota. Not only have they kept the pesky mosquitoes seemingly at bay-but knock on wood our resident tick population seems to be on vacation as well, for the past 2 summers. WOW. The application techs were fantastically conscientious-if you didn’t have your windows on your place closed and you weren’t home -they would NOT spray -they’d reschedule. And if you weren’t satisfied with the application they would come out within a week to reapply. I believe we only had them do that once-reapply. Great service -exceptional results. Now I will add that we’ve been in a bit of a drought situation up here in the Boundary Waters -and that may be influencing our blood sucking fiends-at any rate- Mosquito squad gets 5 stars from this family in the woods."
"Friendly and say what they mean we have had a huge problem with mosquitoes and other insects and we don’t have that problem anymore hiring Mosquitoes Squad and it’s affordable which is another really nice thing about Mosquitoes Squad so I would recommend Mosquitoes Squad or anybody that has problems with mosquitoes or spiders or unwell critters"
