Tap into Tick Tubes

August 1, 2025

We’re out for another round of tick tubes this Fall. In the Spring, as the sun began to warm us again, it was the first round to fight off ticks early in their life stage, and now we’re back at it. End of August and the beginning of September is prime time for us to place these around your yard as younger mice begin to make their nests, and with them come a new generation of ticks, newly born and still growing.

Tick Tubes are small, almost confetti-like tubes stuffed with treated cotton. They’re placed around your yard in areas where mice and other small rodents like to go, so the cotton is easy to find. The mice then take the cotton from the tube to make nests, where they lay down in the treatment. The treatment then gets into their fur and onto the immature ticks that are feeding off them.

The Tick Tubes won’t harm the mice or your pets. It specifically targets immature ticks, leaving fewer ticks to grow large enough to move around your yard on their own and latch onto your kids, animals, or person.

Don’t I already have tick protection?

Of course! If you’re already signed up for one of our treatment packages, you’re covered for ticks. Starting with our basic Barrier Treatment Plus package, we target ticks in the areas where they like to hide. This basic service comes with all four of our packages, but when you have a large infestation and dogs and kids to protect, Tick Tubes offer another layer of protection to get ahead of the tick's life cycle.

The spray targets mature ticks that are in your yard already or are trying to move in. The treatment needs to get on them for it to start taking effect, which is why we target those areas of concern and come out every 21 days to stay on top of it. The Tick Tubes, though, allow us to get to the ticks before they’re big enough to traverse your yard, increasing the likelihood that you and your family will remain tick-free this season.

Double down on tick protection with Tick Tubes. Simple and effective in fighting off ticks early in their development, it’s a one-time placement of the tubes, and you’re set.
