  • Is a seasonal mosquito service better than a one-time treatment?

F.A.Q.

Is a seasonal mosquito service better than a one-time treatment?

For lasting relief, seasonal service is better. A single treatment only lasts about three weeks, while recurring service keeps mosquitoes suppressed all season.

A one-time treatment is the right choice for a specific event. For a summer of usable outdoor space, seasonal coverage is what you need.

One-time treatments do exactly one thing really well. They knock down mosquitoes for a short period of time. If you apply one a day or two before a party or wedding, you can clear out the yard for that occasion. The residual keeps working for about three weeks after. But once that time passes, the treatment wears off and the mosquitoes rebuild.

Seasonal service is what you need when you’re concerned about the long haul. The treatment is the same, it’s just reapplied roughly every three weeks. That way, the treatment never has a chance to lose effect and the mosquito population never has a chance to rebuild in between treatments.

The choice comes down to your goal. If you need one event covered and don't want an ongoing plan, the one-time treatment is the right tool. If you want to use your yard all summer, the evenings, seasonal service is the better value.

It’s humid on the Jersey Shore and mosquito season lasts for a long time. Single treatments wear off long before the summer ends. Seasonal coverage carries you all the way through. Many people start with a one-time treatment, enjoy the difference, and then ultimately go for seasonal service.

If you're tired of a single treatment fading long before summer's over, Mosquito Squad of the Jersey Shore can help. Mosquito Squad offers recurring seasonal coverage as well as one-time event treatments, helping protect your yard with up to 90% reduction in mosquito activity on a recurring 21-day cycle.
