World Malaria Day 2020: Join us in the Fight to End Malaria

This Saturday, April 25, Mosquito Squad would like to recognize World Malaria Day, an international day that celebrates the global efforts to control malaria and the progress made toward combatting the disease.

This is year, we are faced with new challenges. Those in malaria-affected areas are also in danger of contracting COVID-19. And, it’s so important that we double our efforts to ensure that people are taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety and health of their families.

Malaria is a treatable and preventable disease that kills more than 1 million people per year. One of the most common mosquito-borne illnesses, this disease is a world-wide dilemma, with nearly 228 million cases globally. It can result in kidney failure, jaundice, coma, or delirium.

Mosquito Squad is a proud partner of Malaria No More (NMN), an organization whose mission is to end malaria within our generation. Since 2012, we have helped to raise over $450,000 for the cause. To assist in the fight against this disease, Mosquito Squad is giving customers the opportunity to donate at least $1.00 from their mosquito treatment service to Malaria No More.

This is year’s World Malaria Day theme is #Zero Malaria Starts with Me, a movement dedicated to driving action and making change. Here at Mosquito Squad, we’re encouraging our owners and customers to use the following hashtags to spread the word:
