#ProtectMySquad Campaign about the Importance of Mosquito Protection

February 3, 2022

Each year since 2017, we’ve run our Protect Your Squad campaign, designed to raise awareness about the importance of mosquito protection and to help you stay informed on best practices to protect your families and pets.

The Centers for Disease Control recently released some numbers that indicate that tick and mosquito-borne diseases have tripled since 2004. “With a higher risk of contracting Lyme, West Nile, Zika and other pest-borne illnesses, it's so important to take mosquito control seriously," said Amy Lawhorne, chief operating officer of Mosquito Squad. "As a trusted source, it's up to us to share our expert practices and insights so consumers remain educated and aware."

Part of the campaign is our #ProtectMySquad contest on social media. To enter, folks can simply post a photo or video of a squad they want to protect on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or the contest landing page using the hashtag #ProtectMySquad, tagging Mosquito Squad on the respective platform, with your ZIP code. The contest generally runs from May 1 until the end of June. One winner is announced on Memorial Day and receives a full season of mosquito protection of the original Mosquito Squad Protective Barrier Treatment. The second winner is announced on July 4 and receives a Big Green Egg charcoal barbecue grill. For additional #ProtectMySquad contest details, full terms and conditions and to keep up with entries, visit protectmysquad.com.

"Each year, we always look forward to seeing everyone's entries as we help them protect their squads throughout the season," added Lawhorne.

Congratulations to the 2019 #ProtectMySquad Contest Winners!
