Mosquito Squad was not only built on the idea of allowing people to spend extended time in their yards, but also on the notion of protecting people against insect-borne diseases. As an extension to our core business, we are happy and excited to announce our new partnership with Malaria No More, the non-profit organization aimed at ending Malaria deaths.
I first heard of Malaria No More a few years ago while watching American Idol Idol Gives Back and it is truly amazing how much they have accomplished since starting in 2006. They help fight Malaria by providing mosquito nets, medicine and mosquito control to those African areas that need it most. Malaria No More’s goal is to end Malaria-related deaths by 2015 (no small task considering Malaria kills nearly 3,000 children every day!)
As part of Mosquito Squad’s community outreach, our franchise owners across the country will hold events in schools, informing students and faculty about the importance of fighting Malaria. Our goal is to raise money at the national and local levels to purchase mosquito nets for Malaria No More.
Help us decrease the number of Malaria-related deaths and text SWAT to 85944 to make a $10 donation or visit SWATmalaria.net.
