Apprentice/Technician

PART TIME SPRING/SUMMER POSITIONS NEEDED Paid Training--$10hr during training, $12hr+ after training || $14+ with active Pest Technician License

We are searching for honest, dependable, hard-working individuals who enjoy working outdoors, don’t mind the heat and helping our customers to enjoy their outdoor living spaces. At Mosquito Squad, our team brings tremendous pride and integrity to everything we do. If you’re committed to providing the highest level of customer service, we have a great opportunity for you. In this position, you will apply company product to customers’ landscaping according to schedule and as needed based on service requests. Seasonal positions beginning immediately; no experience required, will train qualified candidates. Great for individuals looking for part-time positions or summer employment or to supplement their income during the summer months.

The apprentice/technician position is a part-time seasonal position, typically from March thru October, averaging 20-30 hours a week. Number of hours/days worked per week varies by individual depending upon individual preference, availability and needs. Typical work days range between 700am-500pm, Monday to Thursday (some Friday and/or Saturdays).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Apply product to landscaping according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
  • Safely drive company vehicle to customers’ residence or place of business.
  • Call customers as needed to confirm scheduled services.
  • Respond on a timely basis to customers’ requests for telephone and in-person service calls.
  • Submit required production forms at end of each day.
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment in clean and proper operating condition.
  • Assist in sales to current customer.
  • Expertly answer frequently asked client questions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Language skills:
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
    • Ability to write simple correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Qualification Requirements:
    • Must be able to wear protective equipment (respirator, safety googles, hat and ear protection) while carrying up to 60lb backpack blower as you walk each customer’s property
    • Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record and pass a background check
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
    • Must have a positive service attitude and friendly disposition to customers and other team members

Candidates must be 21 to drive a company vehicle for insurance purposes.

Customer Service Representative

PART TIME SPRING/SUMMER POSITIONS NEEDED - Paid Training--$10-$14hr + incentives (pay dependent upon experience)

We are searching for honest, dependable, hard-working individuals who enjoy helping our customers enjoy their outdoor living spaces. At Mosquito Squad, our team brings tremendous pride and integrity to everything we do. If you’re committed to providing the highest level of customer service , we have a great opportunity for you.

The customer service representative position is a part-time seasonal position, typically from April thru July. Number of hours/days worked per week varies by individual depending upon preference and availability. Our typical days range between 8:00am-6:00pm, Monday to Friday (some Saturdays during peak times). This position will require you to handle inbound calls, with the ability to properly educate customers and prospects on our services and mosquito elimination best practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to learn new programs and software quickly.
  • Use current CRM to manage new customers, leads and opportunities.
  • Educate new customers and follow up with potential and current customers, based on suggested scripts.
  • Answer phones and assist current and potential customers with any questions or concerns.
  • Respond promptly to company emails and messages as well as inbound customer leads.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Language skills:
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write professional correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Qualification Requirements:
  • Must be able to type proficiently and have basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Must be good at balancing multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-based work environment.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated work history in sales is a big plus.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must have a positive service attitude and friendly disposition to customers and other team members
