Sharee Ashford, Mosquito Squad of East Atlanta Owner, is a Decatur native that is giving back to her community by way of employment opportunities and being a part of a larger global effort to decrease vector borne illness through mosquito control. Sharee found her way to Mosquito Squad after gaining a bachelor’s degree in Biology, a master’s degree in public health, and while continuing to serve in the U.S. Army.
“I chose Mosquito Squad because I have an appreciation of the business model of providing a direct solution to a specific consumer issue,” says Sharee Ashford, owner of Mosquito Squad of East Atlanta. “My target goal with Mosquito Squad of East Atlanta is to expand and deepen relationships with customers in the community and progress to offering scholarships and opportunities for the young people who reside in communities that are serviced.”
When not working, Sharee enjoys scrapbooking, traveling to experience different cultures, and has taken up a hobby in photography.
Currently Mosquito Squad of East Atlanta employs 3 part-time employees and continues to grow and facilitate new opportunities for the community in which it serves.
