State reports year’s first West Nile virus infection

West Nile virus is in Massachusetts. Last year it was detected in 16 residents of the Commonwealth.
Mosquitoes in Bristol, Roslindale, and throughout the state tested positive for West Nile.
The presence of West Nile virus in Massachusetts makes it more important than ever to take steps to avoid mosquito bites.
