COVID-19 and Mosquitoes

December 19, 2023

Mosquitoes transmit so many scary diseases, that it is natural for people to wonder whether they could be vectors of COVID-19.

Thankfully, there is no evidence that mosquitoes transmit COVID-19. COVID-19 is transmitted primarily through droplets from coughing and sneezing. According to the Centers for Disease Control, the best prevention is staying away from anyone showing symptoms, and frequent hand washing.

Texas A&M Agrilife has published some great information on the subject here.

So please, get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. If the mosquitoes are bothering you, give the pros at Mosquito Squad a call. We'd love to help. Pest control is an essential service, so we will be out here doing our work while we all get through this difficult time.

Here is a link to what was sent to our customers on March 24 regarding what Mosquito Squad is doing to keep our employees and customers safe.
