As mosquito experts, we understand that mosquitoes can be deadly. In fact, scholars believe mosquitoes are responsible for more deaths than any other single cause in human history.
Mosquitoes carry deadly diseases, the most prevalent being malaria. Malaria was wiped out within the U.S. around 50 years ago. However, over 250 million Africans contract malaria each year, resulting in the death of over 3,000 children, most under the age of five, every single day.
But, malaria is preventable and treatable. It’s time for us to draw the line in the sand and say "let’s make malaria no more."
The mosquitoes that carry malaria are nocturnal, so a simple bed net helps save lives. A single $10 donation purchases a treated bed net that will help protect two children from malaria.
Mosquito Squad locations nationwide support Malaria No More through multiple fundraising efforts. Our goal is to help Malaria No More end malaria deaths in Africa by 2015, and to use every possible opportunity to inspire others to donate to help us achieve our goal.
Malaria No More has recognized Mosquito Squad as a valued partner in fighting malaria:
"As an enthusiastic partner to Malaria No More, Mosquito Squad is targeting its efforts to help end malaria deaths in Africa. Through their "Swat Malaria" campaign, Mosquito Squad is demonstrating the same leadership and foresight we’ve seen from their brand over the years- they are dedicated to raising awareness and funds to save thousands of lives in the fight against malaria. Thanks to the commitment of Mosquito Squad, we can make malaria no more.
